Step 1:
Download the picture you want to edit and open it in GIMP.

Update the brush selection to Feather. You can now drag the brush onto the selected area and it will brighten up the selected areas evenly with softer strokes.
The softness of the brush must be selected according to the portrait selected and the desired output. As you don’t want an unnatural picture.
Step 7:
Select the gums and the spaces between your teeth. We need to brighten these areas as well so that it matches with each tooth’s brightness. Duplicate the selected area to perform any edits to it.
Step 8:
Use the Dodge tool to brighten the selected areas. This will ensure the brightness of the portrait is alike.
Step 9:
Some areas in your image might need to be darkened so the portrait appears more realistic. You can use the Burn tool for this above process.
Step 10:
You have now successfully edited the image. Every tooth and the surrounding area in your picture look whitened and realistic.
